Our Strategy
At Karori Golf Club we have developed a regeneration planting strategy to grow a healthier future for our course. We recognise that our course can play a crucial role in preserving and enhancing biodiversity for our community. We will use a permaculture design philosophy that aims to create landscapes and systems that work with nature rather than against it.
Outcomes we are wanting
In the long-term we want to lower maintenance effort, improve biodiversity, increase resilience to drought and heavy rain, and build on the existing foundations and landscape of the course.
Our three core ethics are:

Kaitiakitanga (Care for the Earth) – Care for and protect the land, water, plants and animals.

Manaakitanga (Care for People) – Care for yourself, your whanau, and your community.

Whanaungatanga (Fair Share) – Share resources fairly, take only what you need, and return any surplus.
We are proud members of Te Ohu Kaiwharawhara which is the business network of Kia Mouriora Te Kaiwharawhara (Sanctuary to Sea).
